My Bio
I do a little of this, a little of that, and a lot of nothing special. I'd like to start sharing what I work on, and appreciate what others do.

I write, draw, photograph, sew, craft, and sculpt. Lately, I've been doing a lot of drawing and painting for classes. I'm also working a lot more with Photoshop. My current favorite is sculpting, and painting, small pendants and ornaments.

Through high school, I took every art class I could take. I had planned on going to college for photography, but that didn't work out. Over the years, I've been working on a lot by myself.

I'm in my fourth semester at school and am currently working toward two associate degress; Graphic Communication and Art. The plan is to continue to a four-year school once I graduate. What I'd really love is to be an elementary art teacher, but I suspect I'll have a difficult time finding employment due to the current state of education. But we shall see.

Current Residence: Western PA
Favourite genre of music: Folk metal, death metal, old school metal, classical

Favourite Visual Artist
Arthur Rackham, van Gogh, JC Swart
Other Interests
Music, astronomy, Heathenry and the occult, reading, enjoying the outdoors
I still need to get more stuff uploaded. I've been slacking a bit, though between Fall 2012 semester, then getting married, then Spring 2013 semester, I've been busy... or at least feel as if I've got a justifiable excuse to be a slacker. I entered one of my pieces, The Dancer (http://fav.me/d5je0i0) into the school art show. Not only did it win honorable mention from the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators, but it also won the Digital Design merit award, which was selected by the instructors. I was completely shocked, but excited all at the same time. I haven't gotten any awards for my art since I was in elementary school. So that's what I'

Being in school for art, I've been cranking out a few projects. I think once the semester is over in May, I'll post some of my better projects. I've got a 2d design class, as well as an intro to graphic design class. In addition to that, I've been busy planning my wedding. Other than the class projects (and one wedding related digital project which, for now, will not be discussed), I haven't done much else. I've go a few sculpting projects I need to do for the wedding, which won't be posted until after the wedding. I'm not saying much here, I realise... But I'll be adding more in the coming weeks... so that's all.

Great big head

So I've been back to sculpting (with polymer clay) the past few days. My boyfriend is out of town attending a wedding, and I decided I needed something to do. In addition to the mask I posted, I've made another mask. Tonight, I attempted a small bust. I've always enjoyed taking a ball of clay and just seeing what kind of face comes out. I was pretty happy with this one and decided to add a bit of an upper body so it would have a base, and the positioning would be right. Well, I put it in the oven to bake and, of course, the head was too heavy for the neck and it ended up slumping down and resting on the shoulder. It's late, so I'm just goin
